The Toronto Community Orchestra is an amateur ensemble and is run by volunteers. We welcome new members from all across Toronto. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9:30pm at Eastminster United Church. All performances also take place on Tuesday evenings. Please note the dates below.

While we are a mostly non-auditioned orchestra, because of our limited number of openings in the wind section, key wind players will need to audition for a spot with the orchestra.

When enquiring to become a member of the TCO, please indicate your instrument and performance background.

Member Feedback

"I joined about 10 years ago. I had never played in an orchestra before and in fact I picked up my violin approximately 3 times per year for 30 yrs. prior to joining this orchestra, which was a life changing experience for me. This orchestra has been a source of immense joy for me and I feel very blessed to be part of it." - Jerry

"TCO provides a welcoming atmosphere to musicians from all levels. I enjoy playing with a talented group which helps me to improve my musical skills as well. " - Lorette

"Playing with the Toronto Community Orchestra is an incredible experience. I have grown as a musician and performer under Leonidas' exceptional leadership, and the support of my fellow musicians is invaluable. Rehearsals are both fun and challenging, performances uplifting and rewarding. Thank you!" - Rebecca
